Architectural Vase

$750.00

6.75” x 6.75” x 13.5”

This vessel is a part of larger body of work in which the driving question asks, “What does it mean to hold light”? Breaking a seemingly cardinal rule of ceramics this vessel is not water tight but it is the very nature of its porous surface that allows its interior surfaces to catch rays of light and cast shadows. It is constructed out of slip cast “rooms” that have been molded from a hand carved original.
